SOS...save our skil

I’ve got to imagine someone out there knows the answer to this one…is it possible to replace the brushes and possibly the armature of the SKIL 100. Maybe even replacing the motor itself with a motor used for another tool. If not, is there a trick to increasing the conductivity between the two with what appears to be spent brushes. Any help would be much appreciated…

you can replace the brushes I see them on ebay almost monthly http://www.surfboardglassing.com

You can still get new brushes for the skil 100. Atlantic surf materials in Fla has brushes, triger switches, blades and belts. If you dont do business with them just go to your nearest local motor and tool repair shop and they can get them for you direct from skil. look in the yellow pages for repair shops.

For the armature - try a place that rebuilds starters and electric motors. Probably cheaper than replacing besides.

So nice…thanks to everyone for your help!
