Aloha! We recently got at least two containers over here of their blanks. Big Mahalo to the S.C. guys for getting them to us. Seems like the blanks have crust like Clark, but the inside is nice, clean foam throughout, kind of like Surfblanks, but lighter and more dusty. There seems to be a pretty big selection of blank models. We’ve got 300 of them here at our shop, and I’ve inspected them all. In most cases, to me it seems, the shape of the actual blank is pretty weak. Worse still, the glue-ups radically distort both the deck, and bottom curves, leaving some pretty trippy deck contours. Believe me, I’m stoked that we’ve got all this foam after a 6 month drought. I’m trying hard to keep an open mind after being completely spoiled by Clark foam for almost ever, and I’m not really complaining. Just checking to see what’s the world-wide scoops on this product, as I’d never heard of them before. Aloha…RH

Aloha! These blanks came from Aus. I shaped three, and some other guys have shaped a few. So far, the word is- “okay”, I’m personally not too impressed, I just did one the other day that was “alright”, except that one whole side was spongy with hard spots, lots of holes all over. Looks like the stuff might be prone to shrinkage. I’m kind of sketching on the stringer wood. Looks kind of “snappy” to me. Time will tell. I’m wondering how the stuff is going to hold up. Aloha…RH
I know of a few guys that use south coast and like it , I have found it soft and have seen it collapse. If you can get burford blanks they are the gear.
