spackled over stringer

I had some indentations near the stringer, so I spackled over it. I read in a post that the strength of the board is determined by the adhesion of the glass to the stringer so should I sand off the spackle over the stringer? Also should I glass on fins after the lam and before the hot coat and when saturating the fin rope, should I put the rope into a bucket of resin or would the resin heat up too much in the bucket? Thanks.

I got spackle on my stringer also, I just sanded most of it off and whatever was left didnt cause any problems.

Fins after lam before hotcoat and try to use just enough resin in the bucket to saturate your rope. Seems the more resin in the bucket the faster the exotherm heats up the resin. I think I did about 2oz of resin and i used most of it before it even got warm.

I had a massively warped old board with shitty old concaves… i pretty much pasted the whole board with spackfilla to get everything level…

Had some parts covering the stringer but i got most of it off… I don’t think its that big a deal… in my case its just a rebuild for a mess around board so im not

looking for ultra performance or strength…
