Watching the video he did testing a bunch of boards seemed like he wasn’t that good at articulating why he thought something was good, better or worse. I really like the way he surfs though. I don’t know why he isn’t doing better.
Kelly seems very intelligent, has the ability to explain himself clearly, but I don’t have a set of his recommended fins, and certainly will not be riding any of the boards he rides.

Imo, JW doesn’t do better because he lacks competitive drive… Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. He is where he is on sheer talent imo and is a pleasure to watch… best bottom turn on tour by far
