Speed Surfing challenge

Remember when roy left?..he didnt leave…There are no boxing kangaroo pictures anymore…there are no pictures of bob purvy with hair…I think we are all still learning to understand each other.sometimes we hold onto Hypothesis with a death grip long after we suspect they are wrong. It takes a big peerson to admit they are wrong and I would like to lay clam to being the BIGGEST PEERSON in the whole world by laying claim to being the wrongest as well as the fastest …i87000 miles per second if you all remember correctly…and that my friends is that ,eat your hearts out and argue until you are blue in the face I am still winning because I made the rules and didn’t tell you what they were and when you get close I’ll change em any way I had a friend that used to say “look at the grouse” I dont know what a grouse is was or do I care but I would always look and turn back to one less french fry ,bite of a sandwich or the instant ditch and richard got the set wave…I am suspicious that soon roy might reveal that he has been working on the $37.00 [canadian] surfboard that weighs 4 lbs made from dumpster foam and toilet paper and if he doesnt I for one will not be disapointed.because that leaves that ecological nitch open for someone who is really interesting…where’s the guy from austria building a surfboard in the basement of the 700 yearold house…ambrose…damit it’s good to be KIng,even if it’s only in my mind

Ambrose, is the second time i understand one of your posts, the first was the one about Celtics and pyramids, which i totally agreed. In this case i still don’t know if i totally agree with you, but i think i do. I just have to digest all this information in just few words, yes they’re few because they give a lot of information… as always in swaylocks.

Oh yes, the “Yankee Doodle!” thing is less than nice, more for the intention on this words than for just the words. But everyone makes mistakes, i’m the first one. And showing a dog that is supposed to bite anyone who doesn’t agree with a fin set up, isn’t the best way to defend your ideas. I have a pair of big rottweilers (in fact i’m a big dog myself), but they don’t help me a lot when i post about fins and surfboard shapes.

I just feel really sad because i can smell the aggression on this thread, and i don’t understand how this can happen on Swaylocks.

I agree with Cleanlines.

Roy, i really admire your work, and your boards are really beautiful, and i can see that they fit your likes and desires, and that’s the most important thing on a surfboard, i think. I think that nobody has nothing against your boards, fins or wetsuits, but against the way you defend your ideas, and all this thing is about this attitude.

Being Swaylocks a comfortable place to spend some time is our job, and we can do it.

Good waves!

Coque: right on; maybe you might name your next long board - The Ambassador.

Galicia? is that Dali country?///the spanish ambassador/// …Ambassador de Espana a la swaylocks…? … ambrose…

Hey Roy, How many of these timber beasts have you given birth to and what else do you do for income?

Hello Darren,

What is your reason for asking these questions?

Yo Mister A…Coque is a nice fellow.I met him when I sold a planer on ebay which he bought. He is also an ASP Judge in Europe. Its really interesting that Swaylocks is so well known,I have sold two planers on Ebay they went to Europe.Turns out both of the fellows were Swayloholics and knew me for my two cents I spread around here.Hats off to Mike Paler (lest we forget) for hosting this deal. And…I still haven’t found out how fast a board goes.LOL RB

Hey Mr. Clean - it’s because of guys like you that Swaylocks is so popular, all the world around.

I always enjoy reading your posts, and I thought your glassing DVD was great – have watched it repeatedly. Thanks to you (and of course Mr. Paler).

aloha & TGIF,

K

That video was fun.I have only seen it once.I am pretty self critical and thought it sucked LOL.I wonder if Damascus is selling many of them?It has to be a tiny market and they had a lot of time and effort in it with all the travel .Last I heard they were going to do Jim Phillips shaping short boards.THey have better cameras and stuff now so it should be really good. RB

Yup, I’d like to see another Jim Phillips one. Also very good stuff.

It’s hard to watch yourself on camera – like staring in the mirror too long!
