spray foam, reattaching or reglassing?

I had a stupid accident w/ my boards and drove into a garage with out the proper clearance. the fin on the bottom board sliced through the tail of the board on top, then broke off. 2 of the fins on the top board broke off and one of them, due to an poorly done previous repair, caused the board to become delaminated from the foam- at least that’s what it looks like, I can see under the glass into the board about 4 inches.

The gouge on the tail is pretty bad and can see through it when I look @ the board sideways. Can I use spray foam to fill it in and then just cover it w/ cloth and resin?

How can I fill in the part of the glass that has become detached from the foam? I was thinking of mixing resin w/ filler powder and filling it in, then just pressing it down smooth and holding it down until it hardens, and covering w/ cloth. Do I need to cut away the delaminated part and reglass it? How do I do that?

I don’t care how it looks when it’s done, I just want to be able to ride it. Thanks.

I’ve attached some pics…

I like your attitude…just want to surf it again. Good.

Hate to oversimplify, but just make sure the cracks are glued together, the holes are filled, and the glass replaced to tie it all together. I would use qcell, no matter which resin, to help the whole bonding/filling thing, then sand and glass over.

Done cleanly you probably won’t add excessive weight.

cool, thank you. i’m sorry you’re landlocked in CO, I feel for ya, though at least i have lake michigan. i’ll definately catch a few waves for you once my boards are fixed
