What is the difference between a HVLP gun and a syphon feed gun? My frined said the HVLP is way better, but also way more expensive. Can someone fill me in a little, I plan on doing occasional full board sprays and maybe minor airbrush work. Thanks- ole

Thanks- ole… A good cheap gun for board spraying is the gravity feed HVLP from Harbor Freight, it can be had for around fifty bucks. You can also get a small version for around the same price. Scott
Harbour Freight also carries a small touch up sprayer for less than $20 that really works. It’ll hold enough paint to do the job and is great for tints or airbrush effects. I’ve used it to paint car panels with great success. It’s small and lightweight.

do you guys hook the guns up directly to an air compressor? what type of pressure are you using for full board sprays?
