spray over sanded hotcoat

i would like to know if there is a way to hide sand trough, there is a bit of weave showin on the nose and tail area, is there a possible way to spray something over to hide thoseinstead of doing a full double hotcoat? i tryes dolphin skin from surfsource and it doesnt work too well… what about uretane spray or acrylic? anyone knows? i am tired of wasting resin… thanks Bob

Try putting a couple coats of the dolphin skin and then buffing it out with a scotch-brite pad or a buffing wheel; it should work pretty good. Fiberglass Florida has speed spray which will cover the weave - if its really bad, wipe some over the area, then spray it on and buff it out. Resin Research has a speed spray also. There are a lot of different products out there, especially in the automotive industry.

Bob, Clear acrylic spray works. Mike
