Spray template paper

What paper product do i need to make a spray half template like the one made in JC Airbrush 101. They do a flame design on one side of the deck then line up some nearly transparent paper and trace the design then flip it onto the opposite side and retrace a groove into masking tape. What is that paper they used?

I’ve never seen the video, but a roll of tracing paper and a piece of carbon paper to transfer the outline of the flames to the masking tape will get you there.

There you go.  Solid advice and a source from a pro. Lowel

Can you share the original video of the design, @DublAK2? Really curious to see it myself.

Thanks once again guys.

cant share the video cuz its from an old VHS tape when JC made a “how to” series

Ahh ok, that’s unlucky. Thanks anyway!

I know you’ve gotten your answer, I just wanted to chime in and say Frisket Film is really handy for airbrushing/masking many things. You might already know about it, just figured I’d throw it out there for future projects.
