Stamp Ink and resin...

I’m making a hollow wooden surfboard. I’m really close to glassing and was thinking for my logo maybe I could order a custom stamp with my logo on it. I’ve heard folks have issues with sharpy markers and certain kinds of paint. Does anyone know what kind of inks are safe with resin (what kinds of paints are safe as well)?

india ink.

Do you plan on stamping a piece of rice paper or directly on the wood? Maybe you could stamp a small bit of fiberglass?

I would test for bleeding either way you go.

Howzit drussel, Alcohol based inks will bleed out, I use india ink like bizgravy and in my opinion it’s the best. Get a uninked pad and add india ink to it, then stamp away.Aloha,Kokua

I was contemplating “burning” a logo into my wood decks, I used some thick skins, a real “branding” iron.

a real “branding” iron.

That sounds awesome.

You know a friend of mine was telling me about that kind of thing. That’d be freakin awesome. Do you know of anyone who does that kind of thing?

Ive never seen it done in the surfboard realm but probably someone has, I have seen burnt wood many times and looks great on furniture as long as you dont get too obsessed with it.
