Nick, is that 4 oz you put on the deck?  The reason I ask is I have a similar beat up board and I flip flop over just sanding the numerous dings and leaving it or covering it with another layer of pigmented glass.  Wondering about using a lighter glass for that purpose like 2 oz.  Mike

Looks like more work than building one from scratch.

But I give props for the effort.

Hope you are getting big $.

Hi mike. No that is not 4 oz it is 2oz Volan.

Hi Harry, you are defintly right about that being more work than it’s worth, but it was a personal board so there was a lot of extra effort.

Hi joul, thanks for putting the photos up

A labor of love.

Any idea how much weight was added to the board?

Well when I first got the board it weighed around 30 pounds, it had several layers of hotcoat resin. Then by the time I got done sanding it down and prepping it, it only weighed around 10 pounds, and by the time I was done with it, it weighed around 20 pounds

Please tell me you’re being facetious about the weight.
