Hey guys, I haven’t been active here (or in the shaping room) lately, but have enjoyed and learned from Swaylocks for a long time!
Disaster struck a few weeks ago when I discovered ALL of my surfboard tools had been stolen from a mini storage unit here in Gulf Breeze (near Pensacola). I am living in a rental home while building a new house, so stored most of my garage stuff in a mini-storage unit. In retrospect, leaving my surfboard tools there was an incredibly stupid act. I am absolutely gutted!
Main things I lost;
-Skil 676 planer in beautiful condition
-Bosch planer with “Pete C” mods
-Milwaukee 5540(?) sander/polisher
- Old school Craftsman 7/9" Grinder
-a few other planers; makita w/home mods, Porter cable 653, etc.
-Lots of hand tools; files, calipers, spoke shaves, shurforms, etc. - Cabinet full of materials, fins & boxes, fin box tools, da sander, small air tools, etc
-A variety of other stuff too, but whatevas
More of a warning to everyone, treat your specialty tools like firearms, KEEP 'EM SAFE! But obviously, if anyone hears or sees anything , please reach out.
