Does anyone have the specs on the fin placement for the Fletcher Quad? Next board’s gonna be a performance quad. Fletcher’s seems like a proven design so I figure I will start with something similar.
Just getting started with the research/planning. Any other input is more than welcome. I’m 180lbs, looking at making about a 6’2" - 6’3" x 19.5" x 2.5" for 4ft - 8ft faces. My thruster short is a 6’4".

Well, no responses so I finally made it over to O’Neill’s to measure out the fin placements on two of the Stretch Fletcher Quads they had there. Anyway, a little more knowledge for this collective database…
I would be curious to know what the base length of the fins were for these boards as that is the only remaining piece of information that would be useful?
Actually the inset from the rails for each fin would also be a useful data point?
Good call on the inset from the rails specs!!! I did not think of that when I was there… no doubt would have figured out I needed those measurements at the least opportune time! Next trip over to Santa Cruz (not for at least a week or two) I’ll find out and put the data on this thread.
The boards, however, did not have fins in them but just the FCS plugs/Future boxes so I didn’t get to look at fin measurements. I’ll ask the guy at the O’Neill shop what fins he suggests though.
Cant seem to post a pic so If you want to see a pic of the fins or also a pic of the plan shape, just pm with your email adress and I can send them to you.
Thanks much for the info. I am currently working on a 6’2, single concave, with a wide tail. I plan to borrow measurements from a Stretch Fletch, but I’ll use probox fins so I can change it up. I’ll post here if I end up with something that works. Leif
I think stretch mentioned in the article about him for the shaper of the year, that the rear set had less tow in or less cant.
I made a copy based on images of the board, but I gave the board away.
I also like the quad fin setup that jeff alexander uses on his gemini boards. Don’t have the specs, but my brother has a gemini. His setup has the rear fins further in towards the rail than most quads.
