Stringers

I was wondering if any one knew where i could buy 2 or 3 stringers ? (I have been searching the internet for over an hour). I live in new jersey and i am fixing my board. Thanks !

I was able to get the stringer material (basswood) from a local mill (sherman mills in manasquan), i glued them up tonight. Now i wil sand and reshape tomorrow night. Anyone ever use Solarez UV cure polyester resin ?

Where in NJ are you?  If you are in the Monmouth Co. area try United States Mahogany (732) 583-6300 they may be able to mill whatever you need.

Greenlight has bamboo stringers in Philly. Call around to you local millworks, too.

It doesnt matter what brand of UV resin you use

one thing is certain,,, If the sun dont see it it wont cure

so add some catalyst so the stuff between the foam and wood will cure

I hope you have some Cabasol to mix in? If your glue or resin is too hard it's really brittle when your planners hit it. Too much hardener makes the glue line yellow. You may hack your first few blanks.

Good Luck!

…no resin involved in the stringers of pro foam…

PU glue
