I finished my 3rd board a 6’2” Fish which came out pretty good (I’ll post pictures soon) and is a blast to ride. Thanks to Swaylocks and everybody for the help!
As many people have said building boards can be quite addicting!!
The next board I’m planning is for my buddy who is 6’3” about 230 lbs, we surf the East Coast. I’m looking at making a big twin fin, incorporating some of the Fish attributes, I guess hybrid fish would be the term. My preliminary idea is 6’8” possibly 6’10”. 16.5 N, 21.5 W (+3.5 from midpoint), 16 T, 2.75+ Thick ,10” tip to tip on the swallows,6.5” deep crotch, twin keels (7” x 5”) set 8.5 inches up and 1.25 in from the rail.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Do these #’s look OK for what could loosely be called a big fish. Looking through the archives I see Herb Spitzer and Tom Sterne have both made some bigger Fish type boards.
Thanks
