summer waves longboard

I’m with this project since at the end of 2012 but university, work, girlfriend and the waves didn’t let me finish it.

It’s a 9’1’’ x 21 3/4’’ x 3 1/2". 12inches from nose 19 1/2’’ and 12 inches from tail 14 3/4’'.

During the process “the surform made love with the foam too hard” and I had to make some channels WORST IDEA because i’m not a pro glasser and it has some bubbels where the channles.

.First option was painting it with acrilyc … no way

Second was glass with tinted resin… mmmm definitely no way

I read a topic here about foam stain… THE BEST OPTION

Glass job 6oz+6oz deck and 6oz+4oz bottom.  Extra 4oz 1/2 of the board tail to nose and extra 6oz for finbox and plugs.

One of my friends let me glass it in the house he’s building and due it’s still sumer here in Spain the sun is helping me a lot.

I am using UV powder for the glass job and MEKP for stain, fin box and plugs.

board done …  next is the shity part /  sanding and before the instalation of the fin box and plugs.

now the question is: where to put the fin box.

I was thinking of 8.5’’ from tail but not sure about it.

This is the fin my girlfriend bought me for this board.

Can’t wait to try it.

uploading the pics one by one is a bitch job.
