hi, firewires are around £500 here in the uk with the $ exchange rate at the moment thats almost $1000 from the shop and i know what i would rather buy,
everything here in the uk is expensive, diesel is around £1.20 per litre , over £5 per gallon, imagine paying $10 -11 per gallon in the usa for fuel,
most things here seem to be £ = $ for a lot of stuff i see on the net so we end up paying almost twice as much for most things
an average domestic rental place is £ 5-600 per month and average house prices are around £200,000 ,
i know everything is relative in the country in which we live but the uk is expensive to live in ,
we do have a good health care system and no one will starve so maybe its not that bad , anyway moan over ,
i am glad your sunova turned up eventually ,it does seem like you waited a long time for it, please post some pics when you can , pete
Still trying to get the pics up it keeps saying that the file is to big to upload!
if you want to e mail the pics to me i will put them up for you
huie
posting pictures is easiest with an external photo host like flickr or photobucket.
When you have the URL of the photo you use the copy-paste function and click the “photo” button on the swaylocks forum entry:
you then get an url box where you paste the image location:
hit submit and there ya go…
sorry for the off topic …
Download PIX RESIZER. for free.
Resize all of them in one go on the 2nd and last tab: work with multiple files.
Then post somewhere on internet, photobucket for example.
Then post in sways, which is basically linking them to photobucket with the above mountain.
Did this anwer help?
This works, but id rather see him link to some higher res shots. Sways doesnt allow much but I dont blame them, theres a million places to post pictures
Bob Marley is still right, silly me, where are the high resolution pictures available !?!
pics I hope
here ya go
Thanks Bro
Wicked!!
Looks like 2 different balsa densities…
Is that wind swell still coming your way?
What are the fin positionings on that striped one?
Your quiver is my dream, coil, bb, fw, and something striped. aaawoui.
Je veux!
cheers for those pics.
The striped on is a bat tail quad shaped by Bob Yinger. It is eps with carbon kevlar glass. The windswell should be here by sunday I hope.I only ride epoxies because I believe that it is a far better board than a poly. The boards I have in my opinion are the best in epoxy constuction
Let it be known, that surfercross is presently the only surfer that owns a Sunova, Coil and Firewire.
That Yinger quad is also bad-ass and Ive seen Karl absolutely rip on it in small shit waves, waves that I could barely surf.
Someday he may decide to stop buying so many hitech boards. I suppose when you work as hard as Karl you gotta treat yourself. Afterall, you never know when youll get run over by a bus.
Too bad were heading into the dull surf season…might be a while before we hear a really good review.
…good boards
man, Im really interested if you can answer some of the question that I asked before
more if you re a skilled surfer like craftee say
thanks
Stoked!..Thats my pencil …
Let it be known that Karl has been long-suffering and supportive beyond reason in waiting for his Sunova.
Looking forward to hearing more ride-review…but…oooh don’t be too harsh:- I’m very sensitive!
BTW, it was Chippy who explained how to get inline pics up. Trust the expert.
I use photoshop to get a pic under a meg and then “Save for web”.
Speedy.
Jees,
I really can’t wait for my 6’6" to turn up, looking forward to using it in some nice Vicco waves!
well, it’s kinda off topic , i guess , but …
josh ,
i have some footage of my mate big daz riding his firewire …interested ??
hopefully after this week , when simon [brother] is in town , i ‘might’ have some more footage to add … [and maybe simon can get to ride daz’s board too ?]
"…surfercross , i surf regularly with a 50 year old guy who rides a sunova mal .
he loves it
he has had it for YEARS , it now is a more ‘yellowy’ colour than when they are ‘new’ , but it still looks pristine !
cheers
ben
…one of these days i’ll ask to do a board swap with him , as the only other sunova i rode was josh’s ? 6’4 and lavz’s ? 5’11" ? i video’d the guy who gets them in here in w.a. last week , he was riding the 9’2 “kruiser” model , and ripping …[bert, if you’re reading this ? yes , it was jason…]
THIS is the guy and Sunova in question …
My 6’6" Sunova Pro with wood veneer should be turning up in a week or so. Any recommendations as to the best looking FCS style fins to suit, I would like to keep the natural woody look?
