Kinda forgot which experimental model this is but its around #16… Been pulling in the noses with good success lately but this may of gone to far. My main concern is it paddles well… I’m only 90% sure it will be a big leap forward from what I’ve been riding for the last month… Won’t get much sleep tonight as I want to surf it so bad early tomorrow… Hehe!
The old 9-6" #15
For an SUP board #15 works unreal but its time to move on to something better…
Although you have often said that the only reason for 27 inch widths is because you need it for standup paddling stability, I think that’s nonsense . . . wide boards have some distinct advantages OTHER than paddling stability… . . the wide boards go remarkably well don’t they? In fact they would go just as well if you weren’t holding a paddle !
Wide isn’t a necessary SUP handicap it’s a secret weapon !
Well, I just wrote a long review on how it worked and then accidently pushed backspace on the preview page and lost it all… Hahaha!!!
Went to Laniakea this morning and it was way overhead and roping from the point with 6 of us for an hour… All I’ll say about this new board is it paddles and SURFS F***ING UNREAL!!! AWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
You know Uncle, you may be on to something! Haha! It paddles sooooo fast if you’re laying down…
Took it out again today in head high+ lefts. This is the absolute narrowest nose and tail combo for me. I feel I went a little too far on the narrow nose… Ocean surface was a little bumpy so it got more challenging… This board flies across sections then you can lay into big carving turns… Had quite a few really tight arcs and a couple snaps in the pocket. Best surfing SUP board I’ve tried so far… Not as easy to paddle as the last one but equal to the rest… Very stoked with this and will spend time on it to get it wired and figure fin set ups… This thing will absolutely rip in clean lined up waves with the right fin combo…
