Superchargers........an update..............

To SimonJ. and others,

Whowa !!!

I have just finished off (molding) the largest batch of SCs in my life ! All these Chargers will be given away to people that probably won’t expect/see them coming. Some will.

I need to hand finish them and ship.

Just to let everyone here know,I build my Superchargers w/o any powertools. The only power used in my making of these little jems is the radio and lighting.

It’s a lot of tiny, little, tedious handwork that would drive even the most controlled person crazy. So bare with me,and all will be in the mail soon.Herb

Okay, been surfing since 79, skated from clay wheels to the mid 80’s and sorta paid attention since then. This may be a lame newbie question, but what’s a supercharger? The only superchargers I’m familiar with blown air into motors.

Please excuse my lameness but my curiousness prevails.

Herb, I still have a pair left from the batch you sent me a long time ago. In the wrapper. Mint. Ready to mount on just the right board. Thanks for reminding me of them. thx

Waaaah,

I never got mine.

Resinhead the whiner

A pair of mini fins placed in front and outboard of the front thruster fins which bend the water and make the thrusters more efficient.

Hey herb will that get me a pair ?

This is great news! Post a pic or few for everyone when you get the chance.

Ahhh Haa. Now I get it. Thanks.

I’ve seen them but never new they had a name.

Thanks,

Now I appreciate the question asked of Simon Anderson on WorldSurfRadio.com show 15.

It went something like this:

WorldSurfRadio guy: Have you tried Herb Spitzer’s (was pronounced as Spritzer) superchargers on any of your thrusters.

Simon Anderson: No

Well done on getting that one in Herb!

-Cam

Can you show us what they look like Herb…

Or is a double secret thingy…

Herb - Are you the only one who produces these little gems? How and when will they be available? Very curious.

There are other pics here in the archives.

Someone posted pics of the glueons awhile back, and the photo archives is riddled with them…in the 8 footer board section of the photo archives is my favorite gun(now living on the big Island). It has a pic showing one of the first sets of tipped forward chargers I built.

Here’s goes a bunch of work for me.,…must be why God let me live longer,I guess…

To everyone,

I have people in the past that have asked for them and never received them ,for one reason or another.I have some of the addresses and will do the best to complete that goal.

I will keep making them until I get so f@#king bored with it I stop.

If you would like a set, MAIL ME 1000.00 DOLLARS US…NO just kidding !..pm me your mailing address and I’ll get a set out to you for free…man I hope you guys appreciate this…geeezzz.Herb

Superchargers are Herb’s.

There are similar products in the lead Twinzer fins designed by Wil Jobson and available from Rainbow fins, and the lead C5 fins from Rusty.

I’ve gotten…huh…(some is a understatement)orders for SCs,please if you’d like a set make your request now so I can focus on it,rather than a few here an there filtering in.

And right now the price is right! Herb

Nobody tell Herb -

I used a set of his superchargers as a set of trailers on a quad fish…

John,

Nice touch !

Some guys use the stickons on the noses of there longboards. They claim it allows them more control while noseriding.

BTW,those are the biggest chargers I make,and was my first/original template.They’re 2" x 2" and are designed for bigger twin type fins.Herb

John…cool app, but what does it feel like compared to without?

(Backstory - I think frequently about twin-fin longboards for so many reasons…but there are obvious problems as well.)

I eagerly await your reply…

Yes John,

Spill it boy !

Hey Ben,

A couple weeks ago I saw I guy doing a pretty nice job tearing it up on a WaveTools Comp Twin longboard by Lance Collins. That board is pretty unorthodox in the tail area with it being a triple bump, deep vee, swallow, twin fin but he loved it.

Sorry for any troubles I have caused here lately,Just found out that I’m not a flexable as I use to be,but I’m learning.Herb

Oh BTW…It’s still on…you guys ROCK !!!
