What I’ve been getting at is that the transition era wasn’t much different when it comes to silly names. Wilken had a board called the Meth model because it was supposed to be really speedy.
All the Windigo boards I do are named after iconic people.
Churchill, Hitchcock, MacArthur, Zappa, Wayne, Cash, Roosevelt, and on and on.
From all walks of life.

i just couldn’t! Had to tweak nose and tail outlines a bit, stretch it a few inches, but that rocker line, oh I am glad I did not change it.

When I was making fun of model names on here a few years ago, the best I could do was “XP-93 Banshee Lipwhacker”. This article went a little further lol.

I kinda like seeing guys making boards with nams like Round Tailed Fish, Square Tailed Fish, or all the new names being stuck an a variation of a round tail, or rounded diamond.
Did Batman design the Bat tail? Was it Robin, the Riddler? I think it was the Joker.
Too bad the tail is buried in the sand. I bet that was the very first Bat tail board. But knowing the Joker, it was probably called a Fang tail. I remember the episode wih Batman surfing.
The Penicillin Penetrator is the ideal Board for those surfing in Urban cesspools.
Looks like the Joker was a Noll rider back in the day.
