Surfboard Production Assistant/Laminator/Sander Wanted.

Firewire Surfboards is looking for dedicated and motivated persons to join our dynamic boardmaking team in San Diego.

Tasks will vary and include all facets of our high quality composite surfboard manufacturing process.

Boardmaking experience would be a plus, but definitely not essential, as specialised training will be provided to right person, male or female.

If you are open minded, quality oriented, want to learn, like to use your brain and your hands, and want to be part of a fast growing and progressive international surfboard company, please get in touch with us.

Send your resume to Mike: Mike.Milliken@firewiresurfboards.com

Any questions contact Greg: Greg.Wild@firewiresurfboards.com (or PM ‘Wildy’ here at Swaylocks.)

We’re still looking you guys!!!

I can’t believe there isn’t some keen girl or guy who want to get there foot in the door.

This is an opportunity to learn lots of hi-tech boardmaking stuff while getting paid for it.

We don’t care if you’re not experienced, we want you to learn the way we do it anyway. And we are in a new, clean, climate controlled workshop, what more do you want.

When I was grom I would have jumped at an opportunity like this. Maybe times have changed.

I sent an e-mail to you.

I am interested but need some information as I am not a grommet, I am looking for anew job or a good second job and would love to learn how to make the kind of boards you are working on!!!

you going to cross the picket line, ben?

Interesting comment scribbles. Care to elaborate? Is there an underground Firewire blockade we need to know about?

Please let me know, however I won’t be able to respond until I get through the picket line and placards that block my way into work every morning.

I’m actually only joking, and if by chance you are, then save it for a more appropriate thread.

If you are interested in the job, then send us your resume.

mate, no-one wants to work these days… ive run adverts etc. theres someone else called gold coast glass who cant seem to get anyone. i think we will have to offer to put the applicants name on the board with a bigger sticker than our own…

If you guys were out in Hawaii, I’d jump at this.

if i didnt have a wife and a house, i’d be on your doorstep tommorow!! want to move firewire to ireland??? :o)

Thanks for your responses.

We now have several people who have applied and do not need more for the time being.

Thank you.

Greg.

But what about me?

Sunset Point, your job is to catch a few waves for us. There’s nothing over here at the moment.

Question of the month:

My old buddy Steve Forstall made a funny observation…Is firewire needing a laminator kind of like opening up a full course restaurant and having a chef wanted sign in the window?

Good luck guys and best of wishes.

No Solo, got the chef, just needed more, and we’d rather train our own to do things the way we want.

Thanks to all who responded.

Hey…I don’t blame you. We just thought it slightly amusing. Having one of those days where little things amuse. Ha Ha.

Good luck…Waiting to see one of those in person.

Hi,

1. Job tile:

I assume this should read "Job title"  ????  How's that for proofreading for accuracy and content?

That's funny... although I'm not a tiler!

Strange bump.

And I haven't been with FW for a couple of years now, so all the above is now irrelevant...
