Howzit drew, I'd say there is a 95% chance we get to stay in the house if the sale goes through since the people are friends. They called last week to ask if we want to stay (Duh) and I told them most definitly yes, now we need to get together and find out what the rent will be and hopefully it won't be to high. Think I'll give them a ring tonight and see how things are going. People I've talked to who have had the same operation say it's a snap and I won't believe the difference after wards. Aloha,Kokua

Howzit drew, I actually try to stay away from shaping, I hate foam dust. I do shape if, but only for family. I don't even like spending to much time in the shaping bay due to the dust, but I'll sand boards all day long and it doesn't bother me in the least. Being considered a glasser is much better since I don't have to deal with shaping politics. Shapers are my bread and butter and I have all the glass work I want. Another aspect is if a new board doesn't perform the way the customer wants, they don't ever blame it on the glasser, it's the shaper that they dis on. I just finished a board for a friend on Maui who has been trying to get 1 of his boards glassed by me for about 2 years. I'll take a pic and post it before the board goes out of the shop today. As you can see by how many shapers we have here, but there's not near as many glassers so it comes down to supply and demand. On another note the new owners of the house are coming by tonight so we can work out the details concerning us staying in the house. One thing is with so many Hawaiians moving to and living in Vegas I bet ther's some boards being made some wheres there. I think if we posted a glassers on kauai list you would see a lot less names then on the shapers list. Aloha,Kokua
