Silly Orsees…

Hi Grant,

I was fortunate to “surf” with these guys back on 5 December. After 40+ years of surfing Southern California, I’m near Nashville with 10 boards and no waves for hundreds of miles. While they couldn’t talk me into taking my Sunova out, (it is one of Bert’s last Perth boards before the Firewire school of Business) we did slide a Tim Stamps shaped Harbour 9’ 1" down the long, steep grass hill in front of the state capitol. Their argument that my Sunova was an Aussie board in the middle of landlocked USA and was my most durable was good, but I love it too much to risk rock damage. I did turn them on to Swaylocks and believe they stayed with a member on the East coast.

Those kids were a lot of fun,I hope to see them and Bert again, as well as others Aussie Swaylockians in your country next time. I don’t have any pictures on these hard drives, maybe tomorrow.

By the way Grant, thanks for the work you are doing on the book and moderating. I’m looking forward to the motorized skateboard review, as well as updates on the BIG one.

As might be said here… Aloha All Ya"ll, Gil

PS If you happen to catch this Stephan and Jonno…Heaps Aye Mates! Hope all is well.

No worries Gil,

I actually found out about them listening to JJJ (ABC FM Station)…

Those guys were a hoot…

Next time you’re in OZ try and head over west, lotsa nice people here…
