In the derek hynd segment , Andrew Kidman has indeed edited in 70s footage of fitz , derek doing the same manouevres ['soul arch ’ bottom turn , into tube crouch high line speed drive .
In the second shot , Derek is on a 5’8 skip frye fish , the same one he lent to curren in '95 at small j-bay . Curren did rail grab cutties on it then …
the water and land footage of those sessions ended up in “searching for tom curren” and also [possibly] “beyond the boundaries” , I think it might have been ? or “feral kingdom” ? …one of those many '90s rip curl movies , anyway… ]

I’m so bad at playing soccer I ended up trying to be a surfer… but my pasta isn’t bad, on the other hand. if you (or other swaylockians) come to Italy, a big spaghetti dish is guaranteed.
BTW, I’m goin’ to have a pizza in a few minutes… I’ll take your anchovies suggestion!
