T-Flex.....or T REX?
Saw some ultraflex boards yesterday, they looked good, definitely something swaylockians could build. Much like the first WMD compsands with HD rails.

No vac bag? no high density skins?

Next thing you know they will put out an ad stating that they believe hand shaped boards made in the U.S. out of poly are superior and it was their research that discovered that fact. Yee Har...:)
T-Flex … T-Rex … same thing, both have huge Penuiuiuses.
Just how much do you think ST, FW, CI and others lurk here. Amazing to me how much of the corporate high tech comes from good ole Sways.
that made me laugh. I think back to your parabolic stringer and how the industry jumped on that. Rusty is about to offer bamboo (he won’t even PM me, as if…), the impact glass thing, epoxy in general. I am waiting for someone to offer blue tempra stripes on their board and call it BS.
I’ve pretty much invented or innovated nothing, but I get a charge out of seeing what sells.
I actually like the Ultraflex thing. If I had a butt load of money, I’d go buy one.
I don’t know…Dut it looks like a coil to me…Time to shut down ol swaylocks

Hey Greg...I hear IBENEW surf company has come out with an ad on some ultra new tech that is going to change the surfing world. Fully backed by IBENEWII clothing line. It's surfboards are shaped out of polyurethane foam blanks and glassed with fiberglass. Even better...they have invented fins that can be changed out with fin boxes for easy shipping to the shops they sell them to and for travel.
To top things off...they have the endorsement of one of the pro surfers in the top three who swears his results are because of this newly rediscovered tech. I hear they have suggested to and the newly formed IPS which is now taking the place of the former ASP has accepted a new contest format with five man heats and a pro class trials contest for the locals who wish to qualify.
A side note: Have you seen that new surf movie touring theaters? It's called " Ride Free " and chronicles the lives of some of the more core and properly sponsored leaders in the surfing world. Amazing how those guys are just kicking down the door.
I can't believe it's here, it's now and it's happening. Surfers only know the feeling and it has to be the establishment of the neo youth.
Well in the absence of their own creativity…I guess it would figure they would seek out other’s.
! ! ! !
As Greg Loehr said, X-Glass from Graphite Masters… Hank Johns has been trying for years to get people to trying for years to get people to try the stuff. It is stronger, but heavier, and different to work with. Also it is more expensive. Great stuff. Best to have a sacrificial piece of material over as X-Glass reads through hot coats. For people on this forum using X-Glass should be no problem. Oh it works wonderfully with Resin Research. It is on my personal board over 1.75 lb. eps. RF… sees the potential to exploit, but it was another brainchild of the crew over at Graphite Masters. It seems GL and HJ are really trying, perhaps it is time you try. Bummer to see the RF’s of the world trying to take credit for it.

With a freind we lam now 5 boards with Xglass. We found laminate lighter than same weight plain wave fiber, flexier and stronger. The board on picture i post before take some big lip with no problem and the rider is very happy with it.
Watched the vid...didnt see anything new....,,,,,..........."diamond glassing' has been around forever , just lay your fabric at 45 degrees to the stringer ( or centre line ).....it is expensive in off-cuts , but far stronger and more flexible , maybe too flexi for some.
Hi all. I noticed the last post was in 2010. Since then has any one tried (or got any feedback on) the Ultraflex boards - I’m thinking of buying one but haven’t got much info online about how they actually hold up over time.
Thanks
Definately buy one if it comes with a free T shirt :)
i know its a bit late but i have one there very light and fast and nice and strong only have it a year
and well i do have a few pressure dings that i thought would have been very bad dings but the glass didn’t even splinter
would definately recommend one
