San Onofre Friday May 20…I reserved spot 113 for Fri. and Sat. nights. StingRay reserved space 115 for three nights and 114 for two nights. 3 cars per spot. About 1/2 way between trails 4 and 5. Trail 5 is closed and fenced off. There’s a nice block of spots 105-111 and 118-119. Someone already had 116…hope they like friends! Come one and come all!!!
chrisp, yeah harbor freight. I need to post more pictures unfortunately I find that more difficult then glassing a surfboard or loading Mac OSX on a POS laptop.
Seeing the picture of your quad fish at Ray's, Afoaf thought your board needed guac to go with the chips layed out on it. Where's ResinHead when we need him.........
Just sitting here in the dark...in my whitie tighties.
Got a baseball game that weekend, but I might just come up and crash if that's possible? How many people per spot, how many cars? If I sneek in would you be able to find me........probably not. I'll be hiding in the weeds. maybe I'll take the train up, and jump off at just the right time...If I bring a boogie board and jump I won't get any dings?
Sites are $35 per night. Plus $8 transaction fee. Plus a fee for extra vehicles....Damn ! I guess I don't want to visit Califrisco.! Gotta pay over $40 just to sleep in a tent on a patch of dirt ! Went to the east coast and drove from Miami Beach to Washington DC and seems like there was a parking fee for every stop on the way. Florida was the worste ,tole roads on top of tole roads and parking meters everywhere! Sure aint cheap to go on vacation in the USA anymore. Remember as a kid we would camp anywhere and never pay anything. We got fees for everything now days !! Seems the gov wants to regulate everything now days. Times are a changin !!!
California's broke. Were lucky we still have places to camp. All the local lakes in SD are closed, city parks in disrepair, State parks & Beachs are shutting down by the hand full.
Heck I got 3 friendswith familys selling out and moving to the Islands. There coming you way. Guys are still losing jobs and unemployment is pushing 12%, property values have plummeted. The ones that are working are pushing 50-60 hr weeks and getting taxed at 40+% fed& state.
Yeah it sucks. So when we have a chance to pitch a tent on a crappy strip of dirt right next to the freeway and train tracks....we enjoy it. We enjoy the freak show of company we call Swaylocks. And because of that we invite all comers to roll in the dirt, drink beer, burn shit in the fire, and wash there worries away in the frigid cold Pacific Ocean.
