Sways Summary Available

Just in time for Christmas. Free. Here is the deal. I have been clipping articles from Swaylocks for a while and pasting them in a MS WORD document. For my own use. Heavy on EPS, epoxy, design and whatever interested me. Me, being the operative word. It is about 70 pages (10 pt) organized by topic. I was sort of lazy at first and didn’t note the contributor. Later I started noting “Per Halcyon” or " Per Kokua". So my apologies to anyone not getting credit (add yours if you like). I can’t count the hours I put into this to get it organized enough to post. I fixed some grammer, fixed the spelling, rearranged it when needed for clarity, and generally made it a bit more readable out of the context of the whole thread. What a chore. What a martyr. Hope you get some use from it.

Here is the plan. I will attach it here. I think it will fit. If anyone has any complaints about the selection of the material or the format or the whatever, you are free to forget you ever read this and make your own.

I think it belongs in the Resoruces. If you like it and want to improve it, by all means do so. It needs work. It needs a Vac Bagging section. All I ask is that you change the date and Revision Number at the top of the first page and list your initials in case someone has a question. It would be good to credit the contributor and note the date each article was posted. It would also be good to clean it up a bit if needed. You can highlight the text from Sways, copy it to WORD and then go to the “Table” pull down at the tool bar and select “convert table to text”. Clean it up a bit, and the Sways world is a better place. I’ll add to it myself. After I rest a bit.

If anyone has a better idea on how to handle this, please speak up. I give to the loyal (and argumentative) order of Swaylock. Go forth, be fruitful and multiply. Heck, divide if you have to. This is Swaylocks, after all, and we can’t even agree on Clark foam. Kidding.

Thanks, Mike for making this happen. Your reward will be in heaven. (You know it won’t be here).

Oops. Didn’t fit. Quick. Someone tell me how to upload to the Resources. thx

Thanks for yout time and effort, I’m sure it’ll come in handy for a lot of people…Sooner than later!

thanks Greg!!! What’s yer poison? Next rounds on me.

Hey Greg,

Where did you end up putting it?

thanks

wow great idea Greg !

Hi Greg, I’d be happy to host the file on one of my web servers and you could link to it here. Something is wrong with the Resources section anyway - a lot of the links no longer work (the “discussion” threads and such). How large is the file? As long as it’s not super huge, just email it to me (rich@dangersticks.com) if you’d like me to host it. Regardless, thanks a million for organizing all that info: it sounds great!

OK, just heard from Mike Paler and we are going to use it to help Swaylocks. It will up and available soon. Oh boy.

Greg, I did 5 or 6 of these some time back and posted them in “Articles” section of resources. Just copy your Word text in and it should work fine.

aloha,

Keith, I know. I printed them and memorized them. If you had continued doing your job, I wouldn’t have had to step up. (kidding). Thanks for getting the ball started.

I hope we can keep it going. WIth Mike P’s help, I hope to have it available for all. And in a way that allows us to add to it.

We need a Vac Bag section.

You know, it just hit me that this is like a church recipe book where a bunch of old women contribute their favorites. Whoa. Sad. Major embarassment. Scratch that that analaogy.

I did the same thinks with tips from the archives about mats. it’s a good idea and handy to take sways with you when your “on the go”. if you haven’t got a “lap top”.

Josh, that’s kind of how I got started with this little project. I’d clip them or even print them to take on b-trips. do you have some material that could be added on mats? That is an area I have not covered. I can email you a draft of mine and you could insert. Then when Mike P and I get this thing posted, …PM me your email if you want to add.
