Attempted to migrate the entire site to Drupal (previously it was a mashup of different software). Rough times for sure. I had almost zero time for Swaylocks (child and job). I think alot of people left around here…

What happened to world surf radio?
Its been an amazing journey for me. I used to be a moderator at Tree-to-Sea wood surfboard forum, and also a regular at the Surfer Mag forum. Tree to Sea was abandoned by the site owner, and for awhile I kept it going by myself, but in the end I didn’t have the administrative powers to fight the spammers who destroyed it. Surfer Mag was just too hostile an environment for me at the time, so eventually I stopped going. Not sure how it is now. Swaylocks has for years been my main go-to for learning, teaching, sharing, and discussing. Maybe someday we will get back to a more lively environment here, but sadly society itself has devolved into ignorance, judgementalism, and polarization without conversation, as the new norms. I am super glad to still have this forum tho, and as long as I’m able, I plan to participate, contribute, and support this forum. Long live Swaylocks!!
