All right folks, it’s time to put our collective political pressure on Taca. In 2 weeks they have gone from limiting travel to 2 boards in a bag, with no padding of clothes or suits inside, to charging 125.00$ per board, double bag or not. Continental for 2 years refused to carry surfboards, but felt the loss and have changed their policy. Now is the time to flood Taca with complaints, they service all of YOUR favorite surf destinations.
I heckled the Taca help desk about the board charge, and this is what they wrote back:

TACA
I just returned (~1 month ago) from a CR trip and they only charged me $25 for my board bag (with 2 boards in it, but they never checked I guess). Note the “$50 PER SEGMENT” thing above. Does this mean they can work you each time the plane touches down?
