Tail blocks and construction paper?

Having a blast gathering info on tail block construction and shaping. Somewhere in past posts someone mentioned sandwiching colored construction paper in between wood layers. Can’t find it though. Any pics ? Can anyone elaborate on this process?

Works great. Been doing it for years. White glue is all you need.

super cheap and easy way to make colorful blocks.

sands well too (paper/balsa)
