Hey Cause I can’t go in the water-- Damn flu! I went and checked out the Lane today. It was firin’!! Well, there were lot’s of M10 boards in the water. I wonder has anybody had any experience with bat tail thrusters they’re making? I watched a couple of guys, wave’s 4-7ft and an occassion double over head face, on these boards this afternoon. They were easily the hotest thing in the water. The surfer does make a big difference of course but the things look very responsive and quite fast. The tail has an arc cut out of it, is a little on the wide side and slightly thicker than one might expect and is a full single concave that starts at about the middle of the board Very Snappy!! The wind switched offshore as the tide started sucking out-- been a long time since we’ve had waves with walls like these. Has anyone made or ridin any boards with tails on them like this? Any Thoughts? Research and development continues, Good Surfin’, Rich
I had one made back in 1990 by Clubber Surfboards in Daytona Beach, they are now calles Clever surfboards. I really like it and was a very responsive board. You don’t have to have alot of leg strength to turn on a dime with these tail, but that was only my feedback from my board back in 90, with one of the first Bat type tails. I might try shaping a couple of short boards this spring and do some R&D on them. Later, Stephen Berube>>> Hey>>> Cause I can’t go in the water-- Damn flu! I went and checked out the Lane > today.
