Tales of the lost Legends 100 years from now

Too bad none of us will be around to see and hear what the media and lore will have to tell of Diff and Dora in an other century. Will they essentially be lost to time, or will they grow beyond their persona to become larger than life versions of Paul Bunyan. Hopefully as long as there are surfers, there will be stories told 'round campfires of the early heros of our sport.

??? Helllooo? I always thought Paul Bunyan was like for real, man.>>> Dharmon, dumbstruck You thought a giant lumberjack with a blue cow named Babe was real?

You thought a giant lumberjack with a blue cow named Babe was real? O.K. alright already. The blue colored burgerbeast was maybe a little sketchy. Whats your point? For sure depending on the kind of day Im having, ANY objects size COULD be relative. Like Sasckwatch or Rosie ODonnell and Shaquille ONeill are big and scary looking too. Im down for just talking about surfboard design and not ruining peoples beliefs. Too much ,man. Dharmo n

Jim…Diff and Dora may be gone, but to us - they are every bit as legendary as some story book heros. The thing is that they REALLY lived! (and what charmed lives, eh?!)…they were real. The mainstream may just mention people like them in passing, but throughout the course of time - characters like them will certainly be remembered (at least by surfers). Of all the “movies” Hollywood puts out, I am STILL waiting for a REAL, accurate surf movie/biopic that will be a showcase for some talented actor…about a special surfer who walked among us. Miki may have crossed too many people in his Hollywood circle in his day, but can’t you imagine a really good movie with him as a subject?! A lot of material there. Maybe it’s best to just leave it alone. I wonder if he’d be amused or further infuriated?!

to have a legend endure 100 years from now? The Duke. Everyone else, just dust in the wind. good dust, though.
