This board just didn’t work, so I tandamized it to take my niece out. I actually burned up my skil saw quartering the board using a cement cutting fiber/diamond blade. It was getting old though.
mmmmmmm… big boards…
excellent smithers… everytthing is working marvelously.
I like your style,
I have taken a skil saw to a few boards I didn’t like. Reg carbide blade works fine.
What is the plan?
Gorilla Glue foam Eps + epoxy? fabric?Stringer?
For a tandem board you want more foam in the back 1/2 to support the heavier rider.
I made one for my sister & me out of a 4.5" thick sailboard blank9’4" lots of V & belly
It was a joke board but I ride it all the time.Great crowd board.
Equally out of control in big and little surf.
Have fun,
Ian
Everything was bonded with epoxy. The stringer was 2 layers of 6 oz S cloth. Not shown in the photo are the notched rails I had to cut out of the old board.
And yes, out of control it is. Only had it out twice, but I give everyone fair warning that my ability to carve this beast is limited. So watch out. Of course, I’d never take it out somewhere with a major crowd. I’m a pre-dawn patroler. Catch alot of waves in the dark. This board is strictly small waves too.
