Taping Lines

Has anybody used this "frogtape for pinlines yet? Go to;.www.frogtape .com and check it out. Saw it on the job today and it did hold a crisp line, no bleed through. This stuff worked with enamel and acrylic paint on walls. Wonder how it is with epoxy or Polyester.

“Stick” with 3m tapes the best use their plastic fineline, but 231 works great also.  Frog tape bleeds with resin.

I have used the frog tape and it bled, badly. I tried to use it for pinlines. I went back to reg blue 3m tape

Okay, Thanks for the tips. It ain't cheap either.

Frog tape will work well for pinlines if you are using arcylic products like POSCA.  Frog tape was designed for water base paints like latex and it will block out the paint by forming a barrier activated by the water in the paints.  The harder agent in epoxy will eat right through this tape.

I still like to use 3M 233 tape.  sometimes I double it up when I work with epoxy.  233 is pretty expensive too.  I been also using HY-STICK auto rated tape that I purchase on EBAY. 3/4" tape was $18 for 12 rolls plus shipping.  This tape work well with both PE and epoxy resin and it was cheap too. I use this tape most of the time because of the price.
