Which button did you click to do that,Aloha,Kokua
Hi Kokua -
On the page I encounter when trying to reply I have an “Input Format” option that when clicked gives a choice of “Advanced Editor” or “Simple Editor.” On mine, the “Advanced Editor” is checked.
Below that is is the “File Attachments” option which when clicked gives the “Attach new file” window with “Browse” button.
I’m using Internet Explorer with Windows XP… nothing fancy. On the last pic I posted I went with the largest image file I could find and it resized automatically. Sammy might be resizing with an image program of his own?
I was pretty stoked that the new Swaylocks version does it automatically. I didn’t know it wasn’t working for everybody.
4th try
how does one control the type vs. picture position/alignment?
You can only control placement and alignment using ether the tree or the camera icons.
With the “file attachments” utility below the text area, it will automatically put your picture at the bottom of the post. The file attachments is really there to support other file types, eg. pdfs.
Mike
ps. cool drawing.
thank you
didn’t doubt it’s authenticity for a second john, figured that there must be people who’ve considered changing that to ‘Caution High Surfers’
Heh heh it’s a sweet sign, we need more high surf danger around where I live…
Also that pic you put up of the rock formation really stoked the rock climber in me! wicked photo. I’m getting great eye candy mileage out of this test thread!
Howzit John, Well it worked this time the image was resized and I didn’t change a thing. My input format as ans is set for advanced, now will it be a picture or an attachment, that’s the next big mystery, i am looking at the preview and the picture is just an attachment right now. It’ a picture looking at the back channel out to Tunnels in Haeana and it was taken from the front yard where I work, not a bad view.Aloha,Kokua
Howzit agajn John, Wrong picture that one is looking straight out from where I work this next one will be the back door channel looking at Tunnels. This is a new lap top running Vista butI prefer XP and that is what is on my desk top at home. Still on Oahu, have had 14 radiation treatments and 19 more to go. Now let’s see if I can do yhis again. now i get 2 messages, one says the image has been resized

maybe this photo will work
web-ready picture test…
need to resize photos…test…less that 104 kb
I’m using Firefox, on a PC running XP. I didn’t resize the original file. Which was over 600kb before uploading as an attachment. Can’t fathom why others cannot upload files that large. ???
Here’s a strange bit… The last few posts where I quoted someone didn’t put the quoted text in a box, like it usually does. WUWT?
That one was my fault.
As to the image upload size – to be honest I’m not sure what’s going on. I may need to do some testing my self later when I have more time.
this is a test. i repeat, this is a test. had this been a real emergency you would have been instructed to tune your radio to …

[img_assist|nid=1041210|title=OnTheRoad|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=496|height=640]First test using the icon, looks like any uploaded photos are there for reuse next time you open it. If you don’t change Thumbnail to Preview in the dropdown before clicking the Insert button you get the smaller version.
You got it! It’s like your very own image archive for use on swaylock’s.
[img_assist|nid=1041229|title=Looking at Tunnels from the back door|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=75] Well that works, now how do I make it bigger.Aloha,Kokua
