This is a bit late but better late than never. I had a great stay and it was cool to meet those of you I met. Thanks for sharing your waves and amazing country. Being from NZ I’d just like to ask, where the hell are those first two photos? Manu bay I recognise but not the other two.
Nice shots! but...Where are the pictures of the famous guy in the orange wetsuit and helmet?
First photo is The Point ( Manu Bay), at low tide, the peak is the ledge, angle of photo makes it look like it is breaking onto the shore rather than wrapping around the point.
The second photo is hard to pick ,the geology showing on the beach looks like papa or limestone, maybe West Coast South Island?
Mr T., sorry you are wrong buddy. I could see that being the conclusion you would draw. If the first one was the ledge at Manu, you would see the rest of the coast line and the boulders arn’t bigger than the guy getting into the water. Here is a pic of the Ledge:
