Used to have a guy who rode a 13 footer at Hanalei and the only thing it did was catch waves earlier, but after that nothing. Now watching the Irons brothers and Reef riding 7’8’s on a 12-15 ft day at the Bay is an awesome thing.For some reason Jim’s feathers have been flustered and he’s fighting back. Lots of builders promote their boards or products here so it’s not an uncommon thing. what have you got to gain by dissing roy?

any shapers website all claim the same thing

most shapers boards are just about identical

same rockers, they all copy each other

same materials same old PU rubbish and it is rubish compared to compsand and cdd

anyone claiming a PU/pe board is " the best" is so full of it, they should be humiliated in the gallows

but seriously the flanged finboxes are no good in composite boards

i tried a few futures boxes and they were no good

loked up the flex in the tail

my recomendation is that compsand builders do not use boxes with flanges and capped glass

The backlash against Roy has very much to do with the way he carried himself here and at Surfer and the way he spammed so many threads here and at Surfer. I don’t really think I have to tell you that, but just to remind onlookers that all your impassioned argument is overlooking that huge huge fact of the matter. And the chicken-scratchings against Randy Rarick buttress the case against Roy if anything, so you can only look worse and worse sticking up for him at this point.

It’s not about Yanks and Aussies and Kiwis, Paul. Actually most of us would shake your hand and call you a bro on the basis of your nationality alone–we’re not a nation of xenophobes, we like Australia and New Zealand, and a lot of us share a lot of your feeling on certain social-political matters–but this guy is taking you and your emotions down with his mental-emotional illness.
