Works fine for leash plugs and fin boxes (no glass) so why not ding repairs?
i fix minor dings with 5 min epoxy and some filler powder
takes 5 minutes and you can go surfing straight away
Because it looks rookie and cheap.
If you have a nice board and care about it, do a good repair job. Do it right, make the repair disapear if you have the skills to do so.
Hey if not why not fill it with Fiberglass reinforced Bondo? Hey it costs $20.00 for a gallon, kicks off in minutes, dries to a cool looking red color, and sands out soooo smooth.
yep ive used that 2
but seriously unless you replace the foam and do it properly
may as well just use goo on a white pupe
now a noice coloured boards another story

I think??? Therefore, I am???
I search , Therefore I am.
Seek and you shall find.
Search my friend…
Cloth over repairs prevents cracking and looks better and is stronger…
You’ll have different structural strengths in the areas inside and outside the ding, which can lead to the repair popping out or the foam around the ding getting compressed and cracking around the repaired area, letting in water. You can fill the ding with filler instead of foam, if it’s not too big or deep, but put a patch of cloth over it to spread out the stress and seal over the whole repair.
