Hi guys,

Sorry not having post before but my life was a bit upside down for a while and i had so much else to do...

I had opportunity for the enterprise to be ridden by Ben Skinner a longboarder that you may know. During the Dakhla festival in really south morroco in Sahara. He arrived with his friend Harley Ingleby for the contest but not their boards...

They were searching for something to ride so i shown them my prototypes, they were excited like grommits with new shoes...

I couldn't find some better test pilots ;-).

Batboard was really hard to surf for ingleby cause so slippery... but ben loved the board and his only question was "Please could i  surf it again before i leave ?" and harley was "and me could i try the white one ?"

Ben had good sensations but we arrived to the same conclusion : plenty of speed and drive...maybe just only hard to make some tight turns...(same than other test pilots before)

My idea was may i could fix that cutting the tail.... After a lot thinking and hesitations i've been proceeding to the surgery with almost just  what you can find there....

i've been stocked, he really surfed it, not just only the usual finless bottom turns, 360 or trimmin'. But really pumpin' (not sure that's the right word for increasing your speed by going up and down and up...in the wave.), top turns, cut back.

Ben has been practicing a lot in flow rider and that really helped him in really using the rails cause there's no fins...

He told me that what i shaped was acting like a fin.

May Balsa could help me to post a few pics i have on my facebook page. i tried but no fuckin way i'm a bugger...

I also have a small vid of go pro and also one from the beach where i was with my small camera. But all inside my new computer wich is between life and death. the informatician just ringed me saying that he normaly will save those vids. I hope so...

We'll do a small mix with a friend asap i'll received the vids...

Sorry again on having be so lazy with that post as sorry also for my poor english.

we keep in touch

OH NOOOOOO…!!!

WHY is that man desexing the board , after such careful shaping and glassing ??!! ....

  that's heartbreaking .....

thanks for the shots of it being surfed , guys ...

  ...more , please ??

  cheers

That's true but cutting that tail was even harder for me...

I've been shaping laminating and sanding this board so ... imagine...earthbreakin...

That was for me a piece of art but my goal before everything was to try to make it surf. As close as possible that is surfing a board with fin...That was pretty close just this problem of tight turns....I've been thinking a lot before cutting it and i also been sharing my ideas with different shapers and surfers...

I've been lucky enough to show the pictures of the two prototypes to Derek Hynd during the surfilm festival we had in France last summer and...He was really interested and his first reaction was to blame me not to come with the boards...After a while looking at all the pictures he told me straight to cut that tail...

After, we've been again surfing the enterprise and we arrived to the same conclusion. ..So i did it and the board surfs even better.

The informatician saved everything that was on my dead computer so i recover all the vids from the go pro on the board and also from the beach. I'll try to prepare something as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot to all for the interest you shown on that post.

"ghettorat" ....

.....are YOU watching this thread ?

because if you are still "bored" after looking at this ,

you better check your pulse , you're probably either dead , half-dead , or a complete troublemaking troll ...  with  " no name , no location , no clue " , as Paul Cannon once so wisely said ....  so TRUE !

So SO so, COOL and a fitting name for it. All it needs to TAKE OFF now!!

Just EXCELLENT workmanship

as above wow very very  cool board

Axel asked me to post this short video (it’s only the beginning of something longer to follow; he’s working on it right now):
