I know that this film has been mentioned earlier but I want to add to what was said already because I just saw the film yesterday. I’d give this movie the 4 second barrel rating (out of 5). (The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 is because I need to see more films to compare it to.) Either way it’s a damn good watch. There’s excellent footage of some world class breaks including footage of Petacalco that looks like Ocean Beach on STEROIDS. (No doubt – aberrant sociology or not – hats off to the folks who pioneered there.). The surfing in the film is classy not flashy. The story is honest and memorable and Naughton and Peterson have matured in to some pretty cool cats.
