The Follow Button

OK - this may seem like a dumb question, but what exactly does the blue “follow” button do at the bottom left corner of the first post on any given topic? You would think that by clicking on it, it would save that topic somewhere(?) grouped for easy reference at a later date just like years ago when we could save topics.

In the last few months, I’ve clicked on that button probably a half dozen times for subjects I’d like to reference again, and I can’t find anywhere on the site that where they’ve been saved. I’ve clicked on “my account” in upper right corner, then clicked on “activities I’m following” on the right and all I get is either an error box or “no activities being followed”.
Anybody out there know whats going on?

Good question. And now that you mention it, there were certain posters I used to “follow” as well, I think they still show up on my account page, but I think that function, whatever it was, has long since gone extinct.

Heck, I tried to find a thread I myself started awhile back, and could barely find it. I tried search function using the thread title, and nothing came up! Finally I went through my account page showing threads I had commented on or “liked”, and after going through about 15 pages I finally stumbled across the old thread I had started.

There’s a lot wrong with the site, but what’s right is that there are still great guys and girls here posting awesome stuff I don’t get anywhere else. That’s what keeps me here.

I gave up on Sways search function many moons ago.
You have to be a dedicated detective to find an old Sways thread anymore.
If you like a thread or video, send the URL to yourself in a PM or an email. The poor man’s “Cloud.”

…never have seen that button¿?

Why can’t we delete our own posts?
“Access denied”.

I didn’t even click the “follow” button, and it says I’m following this.
But, on the other hand, I have no quote button on three different computers running three different versions of Windows.
Splain that?
This is what I see

you can edit or erase them and replace with a . but if you want, pm me and I will delete for you

Topping this, just to help bury more Asian spam
