Nice one! Hey Ben question for you… on most of your posts the text goes from normal to strikeout (a line running horizontally through the text). Any idea why? I can’t imagine you’re changing fonts halfway through your posts… anyone else have this problem? I’m on IE6…

Update on the gun, still heaps of sanding/profiling to do but here's the latest piccies.
Pretty bad angle but I need to take some more out from the middle yet.
Basic outline, still some outlining to do with the sanding block....

Here’s the start of the nose and tail blocks.
Pine ply and cork to fit between the stringers. Hopefully to protect the end bits…

So here’s how it’s going so far, taking my time with this so I get it right
Took out the centre foam and put in the shaped nose and tail blocks. (This is the tail)
Not glued in place yet, combo of pine and cork. Pays to keep scraps.
Ready for the final shaping then onto the air brushing and glassing.
Starting to look really good now.

I’m making that shape because EVERYONE seems to be making longboards, thrusters, eggs etc. I haven’t seen anyone do one of these for a while.
It’s my second foam board after a hiatus of 27 years.
I’m not too concerned about the type of waves that might suit it, I’ll ride it no matter what the conditions.
