…You should see one of these boards NOW !
Grant has been a busy boy, and one of these boards is now a gunny 9’ ?" pintail. […D’oh ! MEASURE it, Ben !]
I’ll leave him to give the dimensions…

Yeew! congrats, but from the look of things you didn’t get any swell on OZ day, It was east but it turned into junk.
Josh.
Nice one! Hey Ben question for you… on most of your posts the text goes from normal to strikeout (a line running horizontally through the text). Any idea why? I can’t imagine you’re changing fonts halfway through your posts… anyone else have this problem? I’m on IE6…
Here’s what I mean:
I’ll leave him to give the exact measurements, but it certainly looks NOTHING like the 9’11 x 25" x c. 6" thick windsurfer blank[strike] you see in this shot.
[ My one of these blanks has been thinned to about 3 1/2" at the moment . It needs to be re-outlined …it’s only 8’… and cut out, bottom flattened , rails, nose, and tail re-done. […yes…I’ve put that on hold, for a while ! ]
[/strike]
And Joanne shaved Chip’s head…
cheers

I don’t know Santiago, but it really annoys me. Nobody else could tell me either, when I asked the same question when it first happened MONTHS ago !
[WEIRD how it’s not on EVERY post, and sometimes just kicks in partway through a post…wish I knew what was causing it …and how to FIX it !]
ben
[…I wonder if THIS post will do the same ?! ]
Grant,
what did you get a shot of on the 6’5 bonzer I started this week at your place ? I forget…was it the deck, after painting, or just the unpainted outline against the garage wall ?
The dimensions of your gun are …
Hey Chipster
Got a shot of it before painting, out the back of the shed.

hip hip HHHOOORRRAAAAYYYY !!! "
Another January b’day,
HAPPY B’DAY HIX!
I think my 10th birthday was more exciting. Thanks guys.
Here’s the start of the nose and tail blocks.
Pine ply and cork to fit between the stringers. Hopefully to protect the end bits…
cheers

So here’s how it’s going so far, taking my time with this so I get it right
Took out the centre foam and put in the shaped nose and tail blocks. (This is the tail)
Not glued in place yet, combo of pine and cork. Pays to keep scraps.
Ready for the final shaping then onto the air brushing and glassing.
Starting to look really good now.
cheers
Hicksy
wow Grant, that’s different to what I thought you were going to do !!
…full of surprises, is our ‘Hicksy’ !!
ben
so, let me know when Andy will fire up the airbrush, eh ? I’d like to come and see that […IF he wouldn’t mind ?]
What did you think I was going to do?
Bad ass…i like it.

Thanks Rhino,
I’m making that shape because EVERYONE seems to be making longboards, thrusters, eggs etc. I haven’t seen anyone do one of these for a while.
It’s my second foam board after a hiatus of 27 years.
I’m not too concerned about the type of waves that might suit it, I’ll ride it no matter what the conditions.
cheers
