Might want to check out “Surfing Through Time”, Dan Herlihy, documentary–Jim Phillips, reproductions of Uncle Wally’s hot curls, ridden at Pipe, Sunset, Hammerheads by Mark Healy, Bonga Perkins, and Colin Herlihy (Conlin broke her at Hammerheads, with GMac running safety).
Jim also produced a replica Uncle George hot curl with friction removeable fins–and a Buzzy Trent remake for the project.
