The circus will be in town and so will I … hopefully.
This will be my first trip to the NS and Hawaii for that matter. I’ve successfully talked my girlfriend into at least thinking about relocation, so this will be a recon mission of sorts should we choose to relocate in June 2006. She’s a Doctor of Physical Therapy and I’m a Web Developer / Designer / Jack of all trades web guy who dabbles in getting dusty with clark foam.
I’m looking for advice from you who have been there. Where have you all stayed? Do you recommend any place in particular? I’ve seen a few places in Sunset Beach advertised on surfermag.com and surfline.com which look like possibilities. I know it’s going to crowded and Turtle Bay Resort is out of the question … not really my style. Nor is a blue tarp in Haleiwa beach park, that’ll have to wait until we move.
Just any general travel tips you guys can think of … where to stay … where to eat … car rentals … things to do / should see (If Slater can’t hold off Andy in France or Brazil, I’ll be at Pipe most of the time)
Hopefully some of you would like to meet up too. It would be great to put a face with the name. I won’t be taking any boards with me and the girlfriend is a novice but I’m going to try my best to get in the water. Might buy a cheap used semi gun and take a few donuts on the head on the smaller days. Cheaper than paying the airlines. Hopefully get all touristy and take the girlfriend out on some longboards on the South Shore.
