the right board for my quiver?

hello guys,

i worked with my shaper on a new board. i have a small wave fish (5’10" x 20 1/4" x 2 3/8" quad) for small or mushy waves. now i’d like a performance board, but i’m not the 6’1" x 18 1/2" X 2 1/8" guy. i like to ride short and wide shortboards. i normally don’t surf more than overhead and not super hollow tubes. so i’m searching for a board that works, when the small wave fish is too fat. it should be easy to paddle and to get into the waves. i like the lost rocket, but i’d like a squashtail, so i think the lost squash-it is cool. http://www.lostenterprises.com/surfboards/details/squash-it

what do you think, is the board good for head high powerfull surf?

thanks a lot! bye

i didn’t find the edit-button…it has a single concave and i have 170 lbs

If you like 'em short and fat, well… that’s what you got. Looks like fun for head high and under. Reminds me of a Pod. If the surf is good, I’d like to see it a little leaner and meaner… pull in the width and nose, and move the wide point back.

What’s your height/weight?

hi,

thanks for your advices.

height 5’10" / 178cm and weight 170 lbs / 77 kg

i surfed a 5’11" x 19 1/4" x 2 5/16" (shortboard shape, with standard shortboard nose) before, with a small diamond tail, it was not bad, but i just surfed it in 5ft powerful waves, everything smaller and less powerfull was not perfect, because the tail did drown often.

i expect a fast board, easy to paddle, that still works when it’s powerfull (6 to 7ft)
