The San Diego ASR Trade Expo

I know it’s not open to the public… I really want to go this year. Can I tell the dude at the door I am a shaper and they will let me in. or will they say.Right Dude! No way! Get the *#&$! out of here you kook :frowning:

The dude (or dudette) at the door will not let you in without a badge. The badge signifies that you have registered as a business with ASR (individuals are not allowed in) and have paid the attendance fee. You can register online, which is faster and cheaper, if you register in person you stand on a long line and pay more. By the way, you have to keep in mind that they only want businesses to attend, if you tell them you are just an individsual interested in looking around you will probably be barred. Have Fun.

A business card with your business name and your personal name and Tax ID # on it will do the trick. I believe manufacturers pay more than retailers. It has been a few years, but I think manufaturers were around $400. Unless you have an established business it is a waste of money. The only people who will even talk to you are new “start up” businesses. Established companies like Oneil, Ouicksilver etc won’t give you the time of day. McDing

Thanks for the info,I think I will just skip it save my money for a surf trip or something.
