…3.5" up …17"n x 21" x 16.5"t keep it full to the nose and tails.Taper the deck into boxed rails.Herb

herb, i found a post in the archives where you were talking about having the wide point at dead center for a modern fish!? am planning to shape a 5’10’’ x 13,5 x 20 x 15 ! any suggestions ? thanks

On surfline.com the article by parmenter goes over this and the details behind the shapes of many other types of boards. I’ve found it to be a good resource.

…If the nose is narrower than the tail, usually I would drop the wide point below the centerline by about an inch according to your dimentions. You could however widen the nose to say,14-14.5" and keep the width at dead zero center…Don’t get me wrong with the d’s you have, it would be very easy to make the width at zero center,w/o any problems.Herb
