Things Ive learned on my first board

  1. don’t use paint on my next board, it is just easier for me since Im inpatient and did not let it dry fully nor did I use a sealer, also its easier to sand if I dont

  2. don’t use paint on the lam, it will screw the board up down the road

  3. always, always, always use UV resin, since once again, Im inpatient and hate waiting for the resin to dry

  4. use cut laps, not free laps, just looks better

  5. use future fins instead of glass-ons, I like glass-on fins just that I plan to go on a trip to panama or brazil towards the end of the year or in the begining of next year.

  6. make sure I measure everything after cutting the blank to shape, makes life easier down the road when shaping

  7. eventually get a better sander, the palm sander is doing its job, just really hard to do the rails, Ill just make due for now

  8. and last of all LEARN PATIENTS, it will take a while but with time it will hopefully come by the time Im old enough to rent a car

Ill post pics as soon as Im finished sanding, thank you everyone for the help

measure twice, cut once…be certain you’ve got everything right BEFORE you put blade to blank.
