I just dropped off my second shape at the glasser yesterday and I'm already making a template for my next shape. I'm thinking of doing a 5'6" round nose mini longboard/ speed egg shape. I started my template with the nose and tail from a 9'6" performance longboard. My dimensions so far: 5'6" x 18"nose x 21" x 15-16"tail x 2 7/8" I'm planning on taking this board out when the waves are nearly flat. I'm thinking of making it a quad also. What are some suggestions on keeping this thing fast, but still being able to do some turns and hits off the lip? What dimensions would you tweak? What tail shape, rockers, and concaves do you suggest? I weigh about 160lbs and I'm 5'11" and I've been surfing for 18 years. Thanks everyone!
These are the boards I have now:
5'4" x 19" x 2 3/4" "Dwart" shape
5'7" ...Lost Rocket XTR
5'8" Rusty Piranha Surftech Epoxy (for sale)
6'0" T. Patterson round tail (for sale)
6'0" ...Lost SDII XTR
6'8" pin tail (big wave board)
