Thruster or Quad for a Gun

Will the future see Quad's replacing thruster fin set up on 7'ers (Gun template).

Is a narrow tail still effective for the 4 fin arrangement or will it create as much turbulance as 3 fins.

Short board set up of the quad moves the fins forward compared to the thruster which has the centre fin close to the tail.

Would the fin set up on a quad (Gun) move the fins back towards the tail and if so how far.

I'm enjoying surfing a quad (6'2") at the moment and wondered if this feel will remain with additional length and reduced width.

Good question . I feel the thruster is the be all end all. however. the widow maker set up works as good and better in some waves. I have not ridden a quad since the 80's. Back then it was a hybryd twinnie thruster . I do know from a mate who went to indo with a 6'9 quad semi gun that it was a liability.

with guns kiss is the go. keep it simple , stupid. thruster easy
